Election: AIG Oyebade Assures Oyo, Osun, Ondo Residents of Safety

The Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG in charge of Zone 11, AIG Leye Oyebade mni has assured residents of Oyo, Osun and Ondo of adequate security before during and after election.

Oyebade gave the assurance at a strategic meeting held with commissioners of Police in the zone ahead of the forthcoming election.

According to a press statement signed by the zona PRO, Adekunle Ajisebutu, Oyebade directs the CP’s to ensure adequate protection for INEC officials, local and foreign observers as well as electoral materials and the electorates whom he enjoined to go out and exercise their franchise without fear of intimidation or molestation

While promising that police would be professional on their conducts, Oyebade promised that decisive action would be taken against anyone
who may want to cause violence or truncate the electoral process
