Former Senator for Ekiti South Senatorial District, Senator Bode Olowoporoku is Dead

He was aged 76

Olowoporoku, a former Minister of Science and Technology in the Second Republic was  gubernatorial candidate for Nigeria  Democratic Congress Party (NDCP) in 2018 in Ekiti State.

Ayodeji Olowoporoku who announce his passage said Dr Olabode Olowoporoku, peacefully passed away at his residence on March 24, 2021 after a brief illness

The Ilawe born academics and Politician was born in September 29, 1945, Olowoporoku, he attended University of Ife, 1970 and Manchester University England 1976.

He was Commissioner for Economic Planning, old Ondo State, 1979-81;  and later appointed Federal Minister of State for Science and Technology, 1983

His landmark achievements as an astute administrator in the governance of old Ondo State and Nigeria in general in the areas of economy, science and technology remain enduring legacies in his memory.
