The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has constituted its 2026 Governorship Election Campaign Council, appointing Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, as Chairman.
According to the list released by the party, Hon. (Barr.) Sola Elesin will serve as Vice Chairman of the council, while several prominent party leaders and stakeholders were named as members.
Among those appointed are Senator Chief Yemi Adaramodu, Senator Cyril Fasuyi, Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, Hon. Akintunde Rotimi, Hon. Adeniyi Rufus Ojuawo, Hon. Abiodun Omoleye, Hon. Femi Richard Bamisile, and Hon. Olusola Steve Fatoba, among others.
Also on the council are Senator Dayo Adeyeye, Senator Biodun Olujimi, Senator Bode Ola, Senator Ayodele Arise, Senator Olubunmi Adetunbi, Senator Tony Adeniyi, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Fatimat Raji-Rasaki, as well as representatives of youth, students, elders and other interest groups within the party.
Mr. Niyi Adebayo, who is listed as Chief of Staff, will serve as Secretary of the council, while Sola Agbabiaka Arogundade is to function as Assistant Secretary.
The party disclosed that the Campaign Council will be inaugurated on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the APC State Secretariat, Ajilosun, Ado-Ekiti, at 11:00 a.m., with members expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m.
