” When we were little, we were told that education is the key to success, now we have the key, only to find out that the government has changed the padlock ”

I write to express my frustration about the ongoing strike. The industrial action which is capable to cause a life-death if appropriate measure is not taken to contain it. The frustration has become so high that i cant even think of a way out to pacify myself rather than to commit suicide, due to the persistent dramas of absurdity in theatrical ASUU STRIKE. Perhaps, If not for the opportunity of other degree, may be i would have long been dead by now. But God forbid. But the greatest concern now is that; what will pacify the students with only one degree? Especially the medical students who may not afford themselves other degree except in that only profession. Sadly too, they’ve spend more than seven years on campus and with the hope of graduating one day, whereas their colleagues in neighboring schools are already done with their houseman ship. I ask, isn’t that frustrating ? Neither would the V C, Governors and lecturers too, would be offended  if i continue to express my frustration.

There’s no gainsaying the fact that  Disruption in academic programs serve as non motivational factor to the students. It discourages them from learning. It is not surprising therefore that during this strike, most students are seen involved in diverse activities such as sexual immorality, cyber scam, pool betting, unnecessary gossips, watching of films, and reading comic materials for entertainment purposes rather than reading their books. In the long run, they soon forget about academics and are no longer prepared for the school resumption. Evidently, about sixty five percent of ladokites don’t want the school to resume any time soon. Why ? Because they are more engrossed in business and making money. It is a notion which no one would frontally oppose as it envisage the reality.

From the above review therefore, am of the view that disruption in academic programs by the hoax semester-break, coupled with Asuu strike action since four-months, breeds disappointment, frustration, emotional and psychological trauma. Furthermore, it causes unpreparedness on the part of the students and lack of motivation, which sum up to non conducive environment for effective learning. To see the beautiful structure and building of my Alma mata been baptized by weeds dissatisfy the heart. The report i received too, about the abandonment of properties and tools essential for studies in each faculties displeases the heart. Its so painful that some freshers amidst the new recruit too,  are beginning to obtain jamb as the school academics looks uncertain for years to come, even if the school eventually get over the travail by next year.

This, however, seems to be the quest for an answer; what’s the cause of the school imbroglio ? What makes the ongoing strike a long lasting one ? I’m of the opinion that ever since the creation of the institution, the school has never found itself in a long internal strike as this, the situation has never been deep, tense and worst as witnessed now. Should we rather put the blame on Asuu chairman, VC, or the two visitors ? But as for me, they all share the blame. Why ? Because they’ve been playing our future along with politics. But the real enemies are the following names;

CHANCELLOR ( BOLA AHMED )
CHAIRMAN GOVERNING COUNCIL
( PROFESSOR OMOLE )
AJIMOBI
AREGBESOLA
AND VICE CHANCELLOR

Reasonably, the aforementioned are not really concern about our future for allowing the strike to hit December. Even though they have nothing to lose unlike the students’ that is affected in many ways. Do you even know that none of the governors’ wards or children school in Public institution ? And In Fact, just 10% of our lecturers, and the members of school management, school their children in LAUTECH. This is to admit the fact that they are not as affected as the students whose life and future are involved. So, how do you expect them to be more concern ? After all, their pocket is the most important to them. But do we rather blame the Asuu for their agitation ? Trust you’d wish to know. As such, endeavor to know the truth contained in my recent article, tagged ” LAUTECH ASUU; HER SACRIFICE IS IMMEASURABLE AND INCOMPARABLE AMONGST ITS CONTEMPORARIES”.

The fundamental problem has been that, government officials and civil servants are being allowed to take their wards to private institution which run preety well, but destroying the system most of them had past through over decades. To exemplify my fact; if Governor Aregbesola could say that the students should beg their lecturers to resume when asked about the school state during the NAOSS interactive session with him some months ago, then it tells that they’ve all failed ladokites. The report further stressed that Aregbesola had argued that during their own time in school, their lecturers were able to exercise patience to afford them education” So, why wont they be able to do so too?

Though, the above statement might sound political, but the truth is that both the Asuu and management have committed an unforgivable sin. A sin that none of the students would ever forgive except the needful is done now to confront the ongoing strike. Sincerely, we are tired and getting fed up every day. Resumption by early next is very important to us, as we cant afford to have another automatic extra year.

In addition, i hope the two great sinners too, Ajimobi and Aregbesola will live up to expectation and stop being political about our future. Because neither their sons or daughters would reap from the pain they’ve caused us and our parents.

To this end, i pray the unofficial proposal of school fees from 65,000 to any crazy amount wont cause another havoc, or put the career of the students in jeopardy.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !

WE HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH !

I’m writing this with an heavy tears on my face !
I also empathize with the medical students who suffer in silence !Only God knows when they will graduate.

This, however, seems to be the quest for an answer; what’s the cause of the school imbroglio ? What makes the ongoing strike a long lasting one ? I’m of the opinion that ever since the creation of the institution, the school has never found itself in a long internal strike as this, the situation has never been deep, tense and worst as witnessed now. Should we rather put the blame on Asuu chairman, VC, or the two visitors ? But as for me, they all share the blame. Why ? Because they’ve been playing our future along with politics. But the real enemies are the following names;
