Oyo State Police Commissioner, CP Ngozi Onadeko, fdc has said that adequate security measures have been put in place ahead of the 2021 Eid-El-Kabir celebrations and beyond with strategic security deployment spanning the length and breadth of the State.
The police boss in a statement signed by Commands PRO Adewale Osifeso said the deployments of officers would be characterized by; increased visibility policing, aggressive stop and search, convoy patrols and intelligence-led surveillance before, during and after the festivities.
“While reminding the general public about the importance of embracing all stipulated COVID-19 protocols especially with the incursion of the Delta Variant in some parts of the country, Onadeko said it is worthy to note that strategic partnerships with sister security agencies alongside local hunters and vigilantes would be intensified.”
The statement reads further that ” In the event of distress call or dissemination of useful information, citizens are advised to call the Police Control Room Numbers, 08081768614, 07055495413 and 615 (Toll Free) from Oyo State Security Trust Fund.
