  • The  Honourable Minister of Health, Prof.  Isaac Adewole has congratulated Muslim faithful on the celebration of the 2017 Eid – el Kabir, urging citizens to promote religious harmony, peaceful coexistence and tolerance which is a core prerequisite for unity and development of our country, Nigeria.

The Minister made this known in his Sallah message issued by his media office, “I implore all our brothers and sisters of the Islamic faith to reflect on the symbolic lessons of faith and obedience attached to the spiritual doctrination of sacrifice by Prophet Ibrahim many centuries ago and its attendant blessings to mankind, and apply same in their day to day activities and relationship with people”
The Minister also urged Muslims to use the occasion to continue to pray for the peace, economic stability and development of Nigeria, imbibe the attitude for praying for all our political leaderships at all levels.
In our quest to make Nigeria a safe haven medically, the Federal Ministry of Health under my watch have initiated pragmatic policies and laudable programmes aimed at championing healthy living for all Nigerians irrespective of status, race, ethnic or religion; we have demonstrated the political will to achieving the Universal Health Coverage by our uncommon zeal and commitment to the revitalization of our primary healthcare centres across the country.
Our continuous appeal to the people is to reciprocate our good gestures by complying with basic etiquette of healthy living, strict adherence in maintaining a clean and safe environment, remain observant and report to the nearest medical facility to seek help and guidance for strange symptoms alien to their body system.I wish you a hitch free celebration.
