Governor- Elect of Oyo State  Engr Seyi Makinde has advised civil servants not to connive with politicians, no matter how highly placed, in rushing out contracts at this eleventh hour.

In a statement signed  by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the In-coming Governor said that reports reaching him suggested that since weekend, when the gubernatorial results were fairly certain, top politicians in government have started putting pressures on civil servants to hasten and or originate contracts and facilitate payments of contracts that are yet to be satisfactorily executed.

Engr Makinde said that the implication of such illicit deal should be very clear to any government worker who indulges in such collusion.

While government should fulfill it’s obligations to anyone, the incoming administration will not allow deliberate actions meant to castrate it by disgruntled politicians.
