The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in the House of Representatives Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has congratulated Nigerian workers on the occasion of worker’s day.

According to the youthful lawmaker, the Nigerian workers should be commended for persevering despite the irregular salary and poor welfare packages, occasioned by the economic downturn faced by the country.

In a statement issued in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Omo Oloore, who was a two time commissioner during the first term of His Excellency Senator Abiola Ajimobi administration, said: “I cannot but felicitate with workers on this day. They have shown uncommon resilience during these trying times.

The story of how the nation has achieved success cannot be told without mentioning the workers. I doff my hat for all workers in the country.

“As a lawmaker, I will make sure I contribute constructively to debates that will empower workers so that they will enjoy the fruits of their labour, even while in active service.

Also,I will like to urge government at various levels to be committed to the empowerment of workers in the country.“On the other hand, workers should also work assiduously as expected of them, so as to achieve desired goals . With that, we will all benefit from the gains,” he said
