On Monday, 30th May, 2022 Femi Fani Kayode (FFK) authored an article titled “PDP’s Great Betrayal And The Choice Before The APC” published on reubenabati.com.ng. In the said article, FFK made wild and fallacious allegations and assumptions against the PDP and His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. It is necessary to debunk the allegations and deconstruct the person of FFK so as to set the records straight.
FFK is a man who is as faithless as his fathers; a man who is as disloyal as his ancestors and a man who is as undependable as a crooked bow. He is a man who has 100% probability to return to or eat his vomit. He has a record of being “consistently inconsistent” (Professor Ayodele Awojobi of blessed memory).
When he was in PDP, there were insinuations that he had decamped to the APC. In his response to such insinuations, he said “The suggestion that I joined the APC is false and insulting. Those that are peddling this fake news should bury their heads in shame. With what we have witnessed I would rather die than to join a filthy, rat-infested, sinking ship like the Almajiri Peoples Congress (APC). I am committed to opposing the APC and those that are in their ranks for the rest of my natural life and I will never join them no matter what! They are nothing but darkness whilst I stand for the light of God and truth: there can be no fellowship between light and darkness”.
No politician has called another party names like FFK has called APC and Buhari. He returned to APC after all these hypocrisy and grandstanding.
FFK is a man deficient in honour and integrity. As sure as death, FFK has serious mental health issues that psychiatric doctors would readily detain him to avoid danger to society.
FFK dwelt so much on the issue of zoning positing that PDP betrayed the South East, South South, South West and North Central. Let me remind him that zoning is not a rigid policy of any party. Rather it is a policy of convenience. A ruling party can afford to zone, but no party zones from a position of weakness. This is the reality FFK must know.
I wish to also remind FFK that lobbying is a legitimate strategy in a democracy. All the aspirants lobbied according to their capacity. The ultimate voting power rested with the delegates.
He said that constantly supporting and relying on the PDP and hoping they would come to power to do something new, fix the problems and provide the solutions is an ill-placed illusion and dangerous delusion. By this statement FFK merely proved that he remained fixated to PDP’s failures of the past while ignoring the party’s huge successes. He is severely limited in reasoning to ignore the very high probability of PDP learning from past mistakes. Mistakes and failures are necessary foundations for success.
FFK alleged that the PDP betrayed Southern Nigeria and the North Central. His submission was nothing short of incitement of these regions against the party. But he was merely weeping more than the bereaved when he failed to analyze the voting patterns of the different regions. For instance, out of about 95 delegates from the South East, the Igbo aspirants combined garnered a total of 15 votes. It was the same pattern in the South West, South South and North Central zones. If the respective zones did not deem their sons worthy, why is FFK scapegoating the PDP and Atiku Abubakar?
in conclusion, FFK is a man of unstable character and prostitute political culture, a danger to democracy, honour and integrity. He should be totally ignored.
