COVID-19: Hoteliers Association Presents Nose Masks to Oyo Government

President Hoteliers Association of Nigeria, Oyo state Chapter, Otunba Ayo Ogundele presenting the nose masks to comissioner for Health, Dr, Bashir Bello supported by Hon Akeem Ademola Ige, Special Adviser to Gov Makinde on Tourism

Hoteliers Association of Nigeria, Oyo state chapter today presented nose masks to Oyo state Government as part of their effort to support the state in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

 The materials were received by Oyo state commissioner for Health, Dr Bashir Bello and Hon Ademola Ige Specal Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Arts Culture and Tourism.

 President of the Association Otunba Ayo Ogundele while presenting the nosemask said  “ We acknowledge and appreciate the effort of the state government  in the fight against  COVID-19, we are at the backend  we knew that all the officials of Ministry of Health, and other critical stakeholders are at the frontline are making frantic effort to  stop COVID 19 in Oyo state and we thank God that your effort is yielding positive development as we are now witnessing decline in the number of  cases, this is commendable .

He said further that “This is the third batch of the nose mask we are producing, we have distributed first and second batch to members of the public especially the market women and we decided to give part of it to  the state government”

Hon Ige, Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Tourism in his remark commended the Hoteliers for their contributions to the fight against COVID-19 in the state despite the effects on their businesses

Ige however urged the hoteliers not to relent in their cooperation with your association especially developing tourism and hospitality sector in the state.

The state commissioner for Health, Dr Bello while  commending  the association  said “ When people who are affected are still showing sympathy, empathy to the course, it shows a lot of responsibility, that is just what the hoteliers has just  done and we are grateful.

Bello reiterated the commitment of the state government to the fight against COVID-19 and provide adequate health facilities in the state .
