Hon. Ogundiran Israel, a former Chairman of Surulere North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been discharged of the murder case leveled against him
Ogundiran and three others were arraigned in connection with the death of one AbdulAzeez Isa in Ogbomoso during the crisis involving sacked local government chairmen and the caretaker chairmen appointed by Gov.Seyi Makinde.
The incident happened on February 3 2020
He was arrested and detained for more than 30 days before his counsel a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Niyi Akintola, prayed the court to grant him bail which was granted by Justice Bayo Taiwo
But On Monday, the court freed the accused as the case was struck out by the judge
Barister Daud who was represented his counsel Chief Niyi Akintola at the court while briefing the legal luminary said the mattter has been struck out
Daud said , Akintola started the case, he only ask me to file application and its is a victory for APC, many thanks to Almighty God and our learned silk here
because if not for him , Master would have been in detention till now, but he is a free man now he did this without collection a dime from Hon Ogundiran
