The Grand Council of Yoruba Youths has on Monday endorsed the candidatures of the rulling party in Lagos, Oyo and Ogun State respectively.
The declaration was made known to the public in Ibadan at the House of Chiefs, Parliament Building, Agodi Secretariat Ibadan.
Speaking at the endorsement program, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who was represented by Chief Jumoke Ogunkeyede said it is must for us in the south west to have a governor that is under the progressive fold, I must tell you, I am more committed to the well being of the entire Yoruba race.
“If we have a governor that is in the same party with the president it will surely enhace good governance and it will further bring dividend of democracy to our people unlike someone from other party.”
“Your endorsement is a good development, but I urge you all to go and educate your people that you as a member of Grand Council of Yoruba Youths have endorse the APC gubernatorial candidates for Oyo, Ogun and Lagos State, and they are Adebayo Adelabu, Dapo Abiodun and Babatunde Sanwo Olu.”
Speaking on the need for the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths to endorse the APC gubernatorial candidates for Oyo, the Ogun and Lagos State. The Chiarman of the Youths council Comrade Awa Bamiji said we are not going to have a gubernatorial election in Osun, Ekiti and Ondo States but we are going to have guber election in Oyo, Osun and Ogun State respectfully and we the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths have endorsed the candidates from APC to be our next governor so that the Yoruba race and region can have a genuine development in this dispensation.
“We have endorsed Chief Adebayo Adelabu as for Oyo, Mr. Babatunde Sanwo Olu for Lagos and Dapo Abiodun for Ogun State and as you can see those people are candidates from progressive party and we in the Southwest need to be progressive, in that wise we have to go out to educate our people on the need to cast their votes en mass for all the APC candidates at this coming guber and national assembly election that is slated for Saturday”.
