Recall that the Guiness World Record acknowledged Chef Tope’s first attempt with 173 hours 18 mins which according to the letter sent to him surpassed the current title holder Alan Fisher who cooked for 118 hours but his attempt was disqualified because of failure to adhere to some regulations which included failure of health officers at the attempt to wear head covers and use nose mask.

While appreciating his supporters and every one for the love, Chef Tope said
“Its okay not to succeed at something, but it’s never okay to stay down, I want to appreciate everyone that sacrificed their finance, strength, time and man power towards the success of the Cook-A-Thon event.

“I also want to appreciate everyone that contributed in one way or the other. Your love was overwhelming. With 173 hours 18 mins, we surpassed Alan Fisher’s 118hours, but we didn’t pass on some guidelines. “
