60TH Birthday Garlands to a Soilder’s Soilder; Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Nigerian Army. .
(1)Sir, on behalf of myself, my family the leadership and various member organizations of the Coalition of Civil Society Groups against Terrorism in Nigeria, we write to sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of the celebration of your 60th Birthday Anniversary which came up today, the 24th day, November 2020.
(2) Sir, you have over the years been a beacon of hope & a source of inspiration to millions of our fellow Country men across the Country & in the Diaspora. You are known as a strong believer in a strong & united Nigeria & you have always canvassed this position in all your public engagement.
(3) Sir, it is therefore not surprising that in pursuant of this objectives, as the leader of the counter insurgency operations, and Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, (COAS), you have continued to build bridges of collaboration & unity among the various ethnic groups, religious diversities & across the various geo political zones of the Country.
(4) Sir, in addition, we can without any equivocation bear testimonies to the fact that you have always supported any cause that will uplift the name & image of Nigeria & those which will help in accelerating the pace of socio economic transformation of the Country, through a peaceful and secured Nigerian nation. If anything, these, among others, are the qualities that mark you out as a Soilder’s Soilder, and a statesman of high repute with unquestionable integrity. Also your patriotism, nationalism, gallantry, humility, sagacity & sense of candour are worthy of emulation by all.
(5) Sir, as patriots, who are equally key stakeholders in a safe, united and secured Nigerian project, who have equally been following the giant strides, the patriotism and gallantry of the Nigerian Army under your indefatigable leadership. You have touched humanity with your large heart & your humane disposition. To you, passivity is a bane and inaction an anathema. How could it be otherwise to a life which thrives on industry and to a man with fanatical faith in hard work.
To know General Tukur Yusufu Buratai as a man is to respect him. It has been our pride and pleasure to know you as our nation’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
(6) Sir, by every standard you’re a genius. Your unimpeachable character, your faith in the Almighty Allah, your confidence in your officer’s and men , your personal devotion to duty and your loyalty , have conspired together to make you a great pillar of strength. You have never let your Commander in Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigerians down.
(7) Sir, your eventful 60 years sojourn on Earth has been committed to the service & good of humanity & the expansion of the frontiers of philanthropy to all those whose path have crossed yours.
(8)Sir, as you celebrate your Birthday Anniversary, we sincerely congratulate you & wish you long life & prosperity. We wish you more greater achievements in your various selfless services to our Nation and to humanity. We wish you more abundant grace & blessings from the Almighty Allah, the most benevolent and merciful .
May He also give you more strength, peace of mind & the enablement to continue to lead the Nigerian Army right.
