Clerics, Women Leaders, PDP Stakeholders Celebrate Wolekanle at Housewarming in Ogbomoso

It was a moment of admiration and thanksgiving in Ogbomoso as Christian and Islamic clerics, women leaders, and key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gathered to honour the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, during the commissioning of his new residence in ogbomoso

The event, held on Thursday and Friday attracted a cross-section of community leaders and political associates who praised Wolekanle for his unwavering commitment to public service and his consistent support for the less privileged. Guests described the housewarming as not just a celebration of a new home, but a testament to a life dedicated to humanity.

Leading the Islamic clerics, the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso, Sheikh Toliat Ayilara, commended Wolekanle for his generosity and inclusive leadership style.

He noted that the celebrant has continued to demonstrate compassion and fairness, irrespective of religious or political affiliations, urging him to remain steadfast in his service to society.

On the Christian front, Bishop of the Methodist Diocese, Ogbomoso Ademola Moradeyo described Wolekanle as a visionary leader whose progress is rooted in humility, diligence, and the fear of God. He added that the new home symbolizes divine reward for years of dedication to uplifting others and contributing to community development.

Dignitaries at the event included Alhaji Musur Ejide, Prince Williams Adeleye, Chief Gbite Adegoke, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, Hon. George Ogunlade, Hon. Jide Oketumbi, and Hon. Sunday Bankole, alongside several party leaders and stakeholders who came out in large numbers to celebrate with the host and his family.

Women leaders and PDP stakeholders at the gathering also lauded the Commission chairman, highlighting his role in empowering women and supporting grassroots development across Oyo State.

They reaffirmed their loyalty and support, noting that his leadership has brought hope and opportunities to many at the local government level. In his response,

Wolekanle expressed gratitude to God and appreciated the guests for their show of love and solidarity, reaffirming his commitment to continued service with integrity and dedication.
