Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Chairman of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, has been honored with the title of Grand Patron by the Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT).

This marks the first time the NUT has bestowed such an honor. In his remarks, NUT Chairman Alhaji Oyetunde Rasheed highlighted Chief Sanusi’s exceptional contributions, stating that his leadership and vision made him the ideal recipient of the award.

Alhaji Waheed Adorode Ekun, PDP leader in Ona-Ara, also praised Chief Sanusi, noting the unprecedented support from various groups urging him to run for the Oyo State governorship in 2027.

Ekun emphasized the widespread call from the public, which he has never seen in his political career, and expressed his prayers for Chief Sanusi’s success.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi expressed gratitude to the NUT for recognizing his efforts and underscored his commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged.

He appreciated the public’s call for him to serve but stated that any decision regarding his political future would be made by the people, not himself.

He clarified that he is not currently affiliated with any political party but he is an active voter.

Chief Sanusi concluded by saying that if becoming governor would allow him to better serve the people, he would embrace the role, but if it would hinder his ability to help others, he would pray for divine intervention.

“Amunidara, Aadara fun wa,” he concluded, meaning, “May we achieve greatness, and may it be good for us all.”
