CCII, Ibadan Mogajis, ICPI to Collaborate With Police to Curb Crimes in Ibadanland

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Mogajis in Ibadan land, and the Ibadan Compound Peace Initiative (ICPI), is set to collaborate with Oyo State Police Command to curb crimes and criminalities in Ibadanland, and Oyo State in general.

The stakeholders said the collaboration became necessary for the peace and development of the ancient city.

Speaking while leading a delegation on courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police in the state, Johnson Adenola, CCII President General, Barr. Ajeniyi Ajewole assured readiness of the stakeholders to work with the Police so as to tackle criminality in Ibadan.

Others in the entourage of CCII President General include President of Ibadan Mogaji, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori, ICPI Coordinator, Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade, members of Committee over-seeing land grabbing matters in Ibadanland, Mogaji Olasukanmi Azeez (Mogaji Asa) and Mogaji Adekunle Adeleke (Mogaji Odeku) among others.

The delegation welcomed the new Commissioner of Police in the state and condoled him over the death of a Deputy Commissioner of Police that recently passed on.

The team solicited support of the Police, saying it has always been in their character to always support the Commissioner of Police in the state, which past Police Commissioners had also been cooperating with Ibadan people to get rid of land grabbing matters and other social vises.

According to the delegation, their collaboration with the Police has reduced crime rate in Ibadanland and Oyo State at large to bearest minimum.

In his remark, the Police boss lauded the delegation, saying he has heard about efforts of the delegation towards curbing crime in the city, and he is ready to work with them.

He noted that the support of the delegation has reduced the stress of Police to the bearest minimum.

He however said he is happy and be willing to work with the delegation, saying he will always support whatever that will bring peace and development to Ibadanland and Oyo state in general.

Highlights of the event include exchange of gifts and group photographs with the Police management team in the state.
