In recognition of his contributions to societal development, Engineer Femi Alao, a distinguished indigene of Kishi, Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
The prestigious event took place on January 11, 2025, at Aweni Arena, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, and attracted prominent figures, including political leaders, captains of industry, and royal fathers.
The President-General of CCII, Alhaj Oloye Sulaiman Ajeniyi Ajewola, in his address, highlighted that Engineer Alao was honoured for his significant contributions to the progress of Ibadan land.
He praised Alao’s integrity, generosity, and dedication, which have left lasting impacts on both human and infrastructural development in the city.
Chairman of the 2025 Ibadan Cultural Festival, Alhaj Abiola Alli, also noted that despite being a native of Kishi, Engineer Alao has consistently contributed to Ibadan’s advancement. Alli emphasized that CCII’s recognition extends beyond Ibadan indigenes, as the council celebrates all individuals whose efforts promote the city’s growth.

He pledged to continue supporting initiatives that promote development and unity in Ibadan. He also acknowledged his wife for her unwavering support, describing her as a pillar of strength.
Commending the awardee’s achievements, notable figures, including Oloye Taofeek Adegboyega, Chairman of Solutions FM; Hon. Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government; Chief Lowo Obisesan, APC chieftain; and Hon. Gbenga Olayemi Ariba, praised Alao’s integrity, generosity, and exemplary character. They encouraged him to remain steadfast in his efforts toward community development.

The event was graced by prominent traditional rulers, including the Aseyin of Iseyin, HRM Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Ajirotutu I; the Oloje of Oje-Owode; and the Onimia of Imia.
