Carnival: Ogbomoso Marathon Race 3.0 Holds December 17

The historic city of Ogbomoso is gearing up for a grand celebration of sports, culture, and community spirit as it hosts the Ogbomoso Unity Race 2024 on December 17, 2024.

Organized in collaboration with the Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival 1.0, this year’s event promises to bring together participants from all walks of life to celebrate unity through fitness and fun.

The Ogbomoso Marathon Race 3.0 features a 10km race, starting from Welcome to Ogbomoso at High school and ending at the Ogbomoso Recreation Club.

The Chairman Planning committee Prince Aderemi Oyebami,  said “For those seeking a less intense experience, a 1km trekking option is available, beginning at the SLA Akintola House and also concluding at the Ogbomoso Recreation Club.

He added that Participants will gather early, as the race is set to commence at 6:30 am.

The chairman Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival Committee Prince Williams Adeleye while urging people to join, emphasized that the event aim to enhance  unity, promote health, and showcase the vibrant culture of Ogbomoso.
