Borno Senator Gives 600 Laptops, N40m to Entrepreneurs N30m to Rural Dwellers

Lawmaker representing Borno North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of National Assembly Barrister Tahir Monguno on Saturday empowered constituents.

The former House of Reps members gave out 600 computer laptops to students (worth N127m), N30,000,000 to rural entrepreneurs and N40,000,000 to vulnerable households.

Monguno who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters, Dist. Sen. sponsored a three-day Skills acquisition training on dying and poultry farming to Eight Hundred constituents.

The training which was in collaboration with the Centre for Management Development (CMD) officially flagged off on Thursday 17th and ended on Saturday 19th of August 2023.

Cumulatively Forty Million Naira (N40,000,000.00) were disbursed to the Eight Hundred participants as starter packs along with a certificate of training. Each of the eight hundred participants received Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00)

Sen. Monguno was fully represented by the member Borno state House of Assembly representing the Nganzai state constituency, Rt. Hon. Sheikh Mohammed Ali Gajiram.

In attendance were members state House of Assembly, local government transition committee chairmen, APC LGAs party chairmen, critical stakeholders, trade and labour unions representatives, clubs & associations representatives among others.
