Bisi Ilaka Formally Inaugurates Central Campaign Council For 2023 Election

.The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oyo Central senatorial district, Chief Oyebisi Ilaka has officially Inaugurated his Central Campaign Council for the forthcoming 2023 national assembly election.

The Ladilu of Oyo kingdom charged the newly Inaugurated campaign council to work assiduously with all interests and political stakeholders to ensure election success come 2023.

At the inauguration held in Ibadan on Tuesday Sept. 13, Ilaka explained that his political aspiration is not different from the party’s stressing that his political success at the polls automatically translates to the party’s success.

The Ilaka Senatorial Campaign council consists of three strata, with the Central Campaign council headed by the Director General consisting of various Directors and Federal Constituency Zonal coordinators.

There is also six member campaign committee for each local government area and 20 member campaign committees for each ward in Oyo Central Senatorial district

Other members of the Central Campaign council include Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi (Oyo Central Senatorial Chairman), Hon. Gbadamosi Kazeem (coordinator, local government Executive Chairmen),
Oloye Agbaakin Benedict Akika (Director for Security Matters), Olalere Benedict Adetunji (Director Student
matters).

Others are Omolere Omoetan (Director of Media), Bello Kazeem Olalekan (Senatorial Youth leader), and Onilenla Rofiat (Senatorial woman leader).

Other zonal Campaign Coordinators
covering the five federal constituencies in Oyo central include Wahab Adetunji (Atiba, Afijio, Oyo East, and Oyo West Federal constituency), Oloye Akin-Aderibigbe (Akinyele/Lagelu federal
constituency), Hon.Sumbo Owolabi (Egbeda/Onaara federal constituency), Engr. Akeem Olatunji, (Oluyole Federal
constituency) and Commissioner for local government and chieftency matters Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye (Surulere/ogooluwa Federal constituency).

While acknowledging the political prowess and their strengths in grassroots mobilization, Ilaka, who is contesting the Senate for the fourth consecutive time however, harped on the need for members to ensure adequate conflict resolution mechanism at all times as they forge ahead on their collective assignment.

He expressed his profound gratitude to members of his high-powered campaign council for accepting to join political forces and work with him for the actualization of his senatorial ambition assuring that the exercise would be a mutually beneficial venture at the end of the election process promising that none will be left out of considerations for political benefits at the end of the exercise

The Oyo Central Senatorial chairman, Alhaji Muftau Ogunremi, Alhaji Aderibigbe, Akeem Olatunji and others who gave separate brief remarks commended Ilaka for the composition of the campaign council assuring him that the team will hit the ground running immediately.

Olatunji, who is the state publicity secretary of the ruling party in Oyo state described the campaign council as the winning team while maintaining that the calibre of politicians brought on board has for the first time affirmed preselection victory for Chief Bisi Ilaka.
