Friday Igwe, better known as “Baba Fryo,” has hinted that his new single “Show Love” would be released before the end of the year.
The singer disclosed this while chatting with news men in Lagos, he had been away from the music scene for 20 years but made a comeback in 2021 with the release of a single titled, “Dey Your Dey”. He says that the latest single “Show Love” which is yet to drop is a follow up from “Dey Your Dey.”
I will be releasing my new single before the end of the year, and I want to make Nigerians realise that we need to cultivate the habit of showing love to one another even with the cases of increased killings in the country.
He added ,“The situation in the country is terrible. We need to preach love more often. If the bandits and terrorists can show love, there would be no problem in the society.”
The Afro-beats reggae artist said, “Dey Your Dey,” tells individuals to desist from being sycophants, parasitic or hypocritical, but ensure to present their true identity and behaviour.”
The singer who sang “Galala” and the Denge Pose, said it was past time for Nigerians to understand the power of love, given the recent series of killings and terrorist activities.
He claims that his new track would educate Nigerians on the importance of showing love to one another.
Recall that Baba Fryo, who was popular in the Nigeria music scene in the 1990s, is known for his pirate eye patch.
