ASUP Commends Governor Makinde for Constituting Governing Councils, Welcomes New TOPS Council

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS) chapter has commended Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for constituting Governing Councils for all state-owned tertiary institutions, including TOPS.

ASUP TOPS chapter, in a letter of appreciation jointly signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Comrade L.O. Ajiboye and Comrade W.A. Olanite respectively, expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde over the timely constitution and inauguration of GC for the institution.

In the letter dated May 23, 2025, the union also welcomed the newly constituted GC, led by Dr. Bisi Ojebola, to TOPS, wishing them a successful tenure of office.

The letter reads: “The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki chapter wishes to express our sincere gratitude to you for the timely constitution and inauguration of Governing Councils for all the tertiary institutions in Oyo State, including TOPS.

“Your Excellency sir, we wish to felicitate with you on the sixth anniversary of your administration coming up very soon. The giant strides that have been recorded in diverse critical areas in the state since the emergence of your administration, starting from Omituntun 1.0 to Omituntun 2.0 cannot be overstated.

“Such transformation that are evident in road construction throughout the state, citizens’ welfare, healthcare among others, are eloquent testimonies of the mission and vision statement of your government.

“It is based on these monumental developments that our union is proud to identify with your result-oriented administration, and wishes you more successful feats in every facets of the state and in Nigeria at large.

“Furthermore, the union is using this medium to welcome the Governing Council ably led by Dr Bisi Ojebola and other distinguished members; Mrs Mojisola Oluwafunmilayo Ajayi, Mrs. Bose Morakinyo, Adeyanju Noah Olusola, Hon. Olajide Olusina Olatoye, and Mr. Mudasir Niyi Salam.

“We wish them a successful tenure in office and pray that God Almighty will guide them and give them the required wisdom to uplift The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki to a better place”.
