Apapa Local Government Plans maiden Apapa Economic Summit

Apapa Local Government hold its 1st Apapa Economic Summit, theme; HARNESSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINABLE TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS.

The Summit focus will be on how to have a sustainable ‘Traffic Solution’ as Apapa is the gateway to Nigeria economy and the perennial gridlock has crippled many businesses, establishments and economy of the local government which in turn has increased unemployment and security.

1st Apapa Economic Summit objectives will be to create platform for business opportunities, exchange of ideas, synergy between business owners and government and investment of potentials and opportunities in Apapa. It will also attract investors either locally or internationally as the need to harness opportunities for Apapa’s growth will be highlighted. This Summit will further help to improve Apapa’s dwindling development to the overall economic growth of the Nigeria economy. The Summit is scheduled to hold from 21st to 22nd November at Rockview Hotel, Apapa between 10am through 5pm each day.

The 1st Apapa Economic Summit will become an annual convergence as the Chairman, Hon Adele Elijah Owolabi is committed to bring the public and private sector, policy makers and industry leaders in Nigeria to Apapa.

Adele assured that the 1st Apapa Economic Summit will foster permanent solution to the traffic challenge which is perversive and enormous and has caused many producing companies to shift base. If tankers no longer block our roads, businesses will return.
There is no doubt that Apapa is a goldmine, yet lingering challenges has made it stagnant.
