Another Senior Journalist, Adejuyigbe Ademola Dies in Ibadan

Mr Adejuyigbe Ademola a veteran journalist, publisher and author is dead

The ijesha born prolific writer died in the early hours of today’s morning at the age of 64

This is coming few days after David Ajiboye of Fresh FM dies if COVID-19

A source close to to the the deceased said Adejuyigbe was not sick and didn’t show any symptoms of sickness as he was full of life till Saturday night before he went to be d around 11

” He was full of live last night before he went to sleep when he suddenly he woke up and complain of body weakness, he was taken to UCH but the doctors were on strike, at Adeoyo they said they had no oxygen, but they were on their way to Jericho when he gave up the ghost.

Apart from working in various media organization, Adejuyigbe is the publisher  of phamplet, a weekly publication which became more prominent during the era of Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala’s administration in the state.

He has also concluded plans to open a media training school to develop talents who are interested in media field

Dr Festus Adedayo while reacting to his demise said “This is really very distressing. He was a great man, I attest to his brilliance. He was a great writer too. We worked together on ex-Gov Akala’s biography. May he find peace in the bosom of his creator

Stephen Gbadamosi, a journalist with Daily Times Newspaper said “The most devastating part is that I spoke with him for like 30 minutes while he was relaxing on his balcony till around 10 last night. He was very playful and planned for something on Wednesday before I bade him good night. He was free with anyone that came his way. Too sad.

Also Joseph Okwuofu, a publisher of an oline news platform while reacting to Adejuyigbe’s death said “Its shocking! I came across Mr Adejuyigbe fondly called ‘ editor’ , when late Mr Omotoso asked him to join us at The defunct Comet newspaper . He was very knowledgeable , and indeed a brilliant writer . Each time he handled a subject, you will realised the dept of his wisdom , with precise accuracy . He was a defender of Justice , who will never take insult , but always ready to assist . Very amiable and jovial personality . I will sorely miss this great man ! May Almighty God remember him in the day of resurrection , and also bless members of his family. Adieu my editor!
