The Oyo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has arrested ten suspected robbers and hoodlums across Ibadan and Oyo axis of Oyo state and handed them over to the police.

The state commandant of the corps, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (retd) told who told newsmen in Ibadan said the suspects are; Ibrahim Kamal, Samsudeen Jelili, Hakeem Ayinde, Salam Ojo, Nabim Sani, Abati Isaac, and Abubaka Muhammed.

Also arrested was Yakubu Fulani who collected the sum of N60,000 cash from a farmer Mr kunle Olaoye and destroyed his farms, Elijah Ajala and Sunday Emmanuel.

Speaking on their arrest, Olayanju said; “l activated all the Amotekun Corps to patrol all the City of Oyo today, because the hoodlums always block the roads on days like this, extorting the people. I led the Oyo West Team and these hoodlums were accosted and handed over to the Police at Ojongbodu Division.

“Three suspect were also arrested by Amotekun Ibadan North West patrol team. When trying to rob. at Sabo area, Ibadan. At around 5am in the morning today 31-12-2020.And they were caught with dangerous weapon (Axe).There details are as follow – 1. Nabim Sani 18 years old Hausa from Sokoto state, Okada Rider live at Gangari Sabo, Ibadan. (2). Abati Isaac 19 years old Hausa from Kano state, his occupation is Black Market live in Nsoso Sabo ibadan. (3) Abubaka Muhammed 28 years old, Hausa from Kano state,Tailor as profession live in Okesu Sabo Ibadan.

“They are been handover to police at Mokola police Station. Handing over to Dco Oyelami Oyelere. By Amo Ibrahim Oladapo Coordinator IBNW.

“We also handed over N60,000 cash (sixty thousand naira) which was collected from Yakubu Fulani to Mr kunle Olaoye Farmer on the 1st of January for the settlement of the crop being distroyed by their cattles in Kajola, village.

“Around 400hrs at Aba- Ibeji, Odo-Ona kekere, Arapaja, New garage, Ibadan. This Suspect was apprehended for robbery, One arrested and the other one escaped. We arrested him with these Exhibits below: Motorcycle with Plate no: FDY981UT, 2 Phones and Charm.

“Sunday Emmanuel was arrested and handed over to Orita Police Station. The

I.P.O in charge: D.C.O 1, ADEYEMO JOHN received the suspect. Another suspect was apprehended for stealing of Small Generator. He was arrested with

1 Small Generator, Elijah Ajala was also arrested and handed over to  Police at  Sanyo Police Station. The I.P.O in charge: Insp. Ogunmade, also received the suspect.”

The commandant therefore advised hoodlums and robbers to leave the state for their own interest
