Amofin Beulah Adeoye Expresses Confidence in FUNATO Pioneer VC, Prof. Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi

Amofin Beulah Adeoye, president of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, has extended his warmest congratulations to the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), Prof. Olaniyi Jacob Babayemi.

The Oke-Ogun-born legal icon described the appointment of Prof. Babayemi as pioneer Vice Chancellor of the university as a well deserved considering his track records as Animal Scientist and global scholar in animal production.

Amofin Adeoye said appointment of former Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ibadan comes at a time when the demand for quality, innovative, and inclusive higher education tailored towards agriculture and technology to achieve food security and unlock value-chain in the sector is at its peak.

Amofin Adeoye extolled the virtue of Okeho-born accomplished scholar and President, Nigerian Society for Animal Production (NSAP) as a new dawn for newly established University to provide the strategic vision, moral guidance, and academic rigor required to lay a solid foundation for the University.

Amofin Adeoye described Prof. Babayemi, an accomplished academic whose inaugural lecture titled “The Wonders of Ruminants” further cement his specialist in animal production and management.

He said the establishment of FUNATO represents a beacon of hope and opportunity, particularly for young people eager to harness education as a tool for empowerment under stewardship of Prof. Babayemi with over 145 peer-reviewed articles published in reputable journals.

Amofin Adeoye expressed confidence that the University will not only provide world-class teaching and research but also champion innovation, character building, and community service.

Amofin Adeoye said Prof. Babayemi’s appointment will be instrumental in cultivating an environment where students and staff alike can thrive, collaborate, and contribute to national and global development.
