The Executive Director of Al-Matin Company Limited, Olakekan Oseni, has explained what motivated him to venture into movie production and acting.
The Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) graduate of Accountancy spoke ahead of the release of his new movie titled “60:40”, which will hit the YouTube/Yorubahood on December 7, 2024.
According to a statement issued by media consultant to Al-Matin Entertainment, Mr. Adebayo Abegunrin, 60:40 is a thrilling movie of broken trust full of action and suspense.
It is an interesting Yoruba movie produced by Al-Matin Entertainment to make the forthcoming Yelutide and New Year celebrations fun-filled.
The star-studded movie featured prominent Yoruba actors and actresses including; Olakekan Oseni, Anta Laniyan, Bimbo Oshin, Kelvin Ikeduba, Amuda Eko, Peters Ijagbemi and many others.
The movie, written and directed by BabajeVision, is a “must watch” for all Yoruba movie lovers both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.
In the statement, Olalekan Oseni was quoted to have said that his passion for entertainment began in Apata, Ibadan, where he organized street carnivals to unite members of his community.
The Ibadan -born movie producer said, “I officially ventured into the film industry, producing my first movie, Bosun Balogun, in 2017.
“Since then, I have produced; Mokan Mokan (2019), Prospect: The Movie (2023) and Roscow Cairo (2024). Currently, we are excited to present our latest production, 60/40.
“I ventured into the movie industry with the support of my aunt, Chief Dr. Mrs. Joke Muyiwa. She encouraged me to not only produce but also step in front of the camera as an actor, so that people could get to know me personally”.
