Akin Rotimi Jnr, Makes Case for Ikole- Omuo Road, Says Its Now a Hot-Spot for Criminals

A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1, Hon. Akin Rotimi, Jr has called for Federal Government urgent intervention on Ikole- Omuo road in Ekiti state

Rotimi, APC, the chairman House committee on Information in a motion presented during the plenary added that criminals are not taking the advantage of the bad road to assault travellers

Hon. Rotimi  while leading the debate stressed the importance of the road for transportation of people, goods and services.

He stated that the vital road has completely broken down and called for its complete rehabilitation.

Hon. Rotimi added that the road has become a hot-spot for criminals to assault travelers and something needs to be done urgently to tackle this.

He called on the Minister of Works to ensure the immediate rehabilitation of the road and that the relevant committees of the House should ensure compliance.

The motion which was seconded by Hon. Abubakar Yalleman was voted on, adopted and referred to the House Committee on Works as well as that on Legislative Compliance.
