A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and gubernatorial aspirant, Gbenga Adegbola, has described the late former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, as a visionary leader whose political sagacity and intelligence laid a solid foundation for the state’s development.

Adegbola, who hails from Saki, made the statement while speaking with journalists during the sixth-year remembrance service held in honour of the late governor.
He noted that Ajimobi’s legacy in governance and leadership continues to resonate, adding that his contributions to infrastructure, security, and institutional reforms remain unmatched in the history of the state.
He said Senator Ajimobi’s two-term tenure was a testament to his people-centered leadership and political brilliance, which many current and aspiring leaders still draw inspiration from.
While commending Mrs. Florence Ajimobi for her strength and unwavering commitment to preserving her husband’s legacy, Adegbola praised her role in sustaining the values and ideals Senator Ajimobi stood for both in politics and public service.
He also used the occasion to call on leaders and stakeholders within the APC in Oyo State to remain united and work together for the overall progress of the party. According to him, internal harmony and collective effort are crucial to securing victory for the party in future elections.
Adegbola emphasized that only through unity and shared purpose can the APC continue to build on the achievements of past leaders and ensure sustainable development for the people of Oyo State.
