The  Old student Association of Anglican Grammar School Ogbomoso on Tuesday 26th December elected the first set executives.
Just as they pledge continuous support for the management of the school in instilling discipline in the students and enhancing academic standard.
The election which  was held during the annual meeting of the  association saw Mr John Ojekanmi,the acting president of the association emerging as the substantial president while Mr Adewale Aderemi became his deputy.
Other elected officials includes, Adeyemi Ojo, (Financial Secretary) Abiodun Olowe( General Secretary, Adebare Aderinto ( PRO) Dr Saheed Adetunbi ( Auditor), Deji Popoola ( Assistant secretary) Professor Jide Ajao ( Treasurer) and Deaconess Olanite  (Welfare Officer).
The duo of Alhaji Rasaq Gbadegesin Kareem and  Oba  professor John Akintola, Alapa of Okin Apa were selected as members of the advisory council.
In his acceptance speech, the president Mr John Ojekanmi said the new executive will not betray the confidence reposed in them by the  alumni group.
He also urged members not to fail in their responsibility to continue to support the association so as to easily achieved the set goals and objectives of the organization.
While briefing the house on the report of the activities so far Ojekanmi said the Alumni Association has been able to renovate five block of classrooms facilitate 250 tablets for ICT lab, 2  blocks of 3 classrooms each with motorized borehole and others.
The School Principal Mr Edward Akintaro in his remark commended the alumni association for their genuine passion with which they handle the school affairs and pray for more blessings for them.
He requested that the Alumni Association supports them to erect a perimeter fencing and some other projects in the school.
He promise to continue to so his best to ensure proper handling of the school and encourage  the alumni association in their bid restore the lost glory of their alma mata.
The duo of Oba Akintola and Alhaji Razaq Gbadegesin Kareem in their separate speeches  however urge the new executive to live up to the expectations and try their best in reaching out to old students  who are have not been attending the meeting
