Former Deputy Governor of Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore has described the outcome of the election as the birth of a new dawn in PDP in Osun state and indeed south west.

Senator Omisore in the congratulatory message signed by him congratulated Dr Ademola Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the party’s victory in the Saturday’s Osun west Senatorial bye election.

The PDP governorship candidate in the 2014 election in Osun state declared that the results of the Osun west bye election has clearly showed that the people of Osun state are tired of the APC misrule and oppression in the state.

” I want to congratulate our own Senator elect for Osun west Senatorial District, Dr Ademola Adeleke and the entire Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family in Osun state for this resounding electoral victory of Saturday. No doubt, the result of the election showed and proved to us that united we stand, and divided we fall. The success was well fought for by all of us and we thank God for the outcome “, he said.
Senator Omisore who wondered how the APC could still record up to over 66,000 polls as declared after the bye election charged PDP leaders and members across the state not to relent on their efforts at bringing PDP back to power in the state come 2018.
” We thank God for winning the Osun west bye election which no doubt served as litmus test for the big task ahead which is the governorship election in 2018. It is now time for us all to forge ahead in the unity and oneness of our great party. We just have to sustain the reigning peace in our party for a more stronger party now that the people of Osun state have realized that the APC has nothing good again to offer them.
The former deputy Governor then lauded the people of the state, PDP members and lovers of democracy for their steadfastness, doggedness and loyalty displayed before, during and after the election particularly at their respective collation centers and at Iwo central collaboration centre.
