The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, recorded another political boost as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) defected to the APM during his Thank You Tour in the Oorelope/Irepo/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency.
The constituency engagement brought together APM leaders, stakeholders, and supporters, who welcomed the new members into the party.
The defectors said their decision to join the APM was driven by confidence in Adekanmbi’s leadership, vision, and commitment to delivering purposeful governance in Oyo State.
Addressing the gathering, Adekanmbi expressed gratitude to party faithful and residents for their continued support, describing the growing membership of the APM as evidence of increasing public confidence in the party’s agenda for the state.
The APM governorship candidate reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, grassroots development, and policies that would consolidate on the developmental strides already recorded in Oyo State while taking the state to greater heights.
He urged party members to remain united and continue mobilising support across the state, stressing that the growing acceptance of the APM reflects the desire of the people for a progressive and prosperous Oyo.
