Adebayo Alao Akala College of Health Sciences (AAACOHS), Ogbomoso, has reached a significant milestone with the successful conduct of its maiden matriculation ceremony, officially welcoming its pioneer students and marking the beginning of its journey to train the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The historic event, held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, attracted prominent dignitaries, including members of the Chief Soun-in-Council and other distinguished guests, who witnessed the formal induction of the institution’s first set of students into its various academic programmes.
The matriculation ceremony signified the official commencement of the college’s academic activities and reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality health sciences education through practical training, field experience and value-driven learning.
AAACOHS is a modern institution dedicated to developing highly skilled healthcare professionals equipped to meet the evolving needs of Nigeria’s health sector. The institution currently offers programmes in Medical Laboratory Technology, Community Health, Certified Nursing Assistant, Community Health and Primary Health Care, Patient Care Technician, Medical Data Management, among other health-related disciplines designed to prepare students for impactful careers in the healthcare industry.
