Abductors Release Kidnapped Ekiti Students , Teachers, Kill Bus Driver

The abducted school pupils of The Apostolic Faith Nursery/Primary School, Emure Ekiti and their teachers Ekiti have been released.

The gunmen had on Monday ambushed the school bus conveying the pupils and staff to Eporo-Ekiti, a suburb of Emure at a bad spot and whisked away five pupils and four members of staff to the forest.

The kidnappers later reached out to the families of the victims and demanded a ransom of N100 million for the release of their loved ones but after much pleading the gunmen reduced the ransom to N15 million on Thursday.

The Chairman of Emure Local Government, Mr Adebayo Oluwatosin who confirmed this to Radio Nigeria said the victims were now in the palace of Elemure of Emure Ekiti.

He said the driver was killed while other eight regained their freedom

Though police is yet to confirm this development
