Abass Bello Replaces Lamiju Akala as Council Chairman (Photos)

Abass Bello Bayewuwon has been inaugurated as the chairman of Ogbomoso North local government.

His inauguration was done at the office of  the state commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy matter Hon Bimbo Kolade at the government secretariat Agodi Ibadan

The event was also attended by government  and stalwarts  All progressives Progressive Congress APC  stalwart in the state.

Bello who until his elevation was the deputy to the Hon Olamiju Alao Akala who was suspended by four councilor on Tuesday.


Although Olamiju claims his suspension was illegal because councilor that suspended him were yet to be officially inaugurated.

In a statement issued and personally signed, Olamiju said he still remain the council chairman and he would use the 3 Years mandate to serve the people of Ogbomoso North.

Meanwhile there were presence of heavy security at the premises of Ogbomoso North local government

About five patrol vehicles were placed at strategic locations around the council secretariat while stern looking uniformed men with arms were sighted at premises.
