Gubernatorial Candidate of Action African Congress AAC in Oyo state in the last election Engineer Akinwale Omololu Laosun has said the sack of local government chairmen by Governor Seyi Makinde is in order

Laosun while addressing Journalists at press conference in Ibadan on Friday said “Technically the governor is right because it will be very impossible for him to work with people that did not support or have the same value as promises to the people , This is a new government and i belief at this point in time he needs the right people around him to fulfill the his campaign promises”.

He however said his party will not fail to live to its role as an opposition party in the state ” This we will do to check and checkmate the government regularly in the area of her polices, actions, inactions, attitude, efforts in the interest of the people for better service delivery and more importantly, as a stakeholder in desirous of a better Oyo state.

Laosun while charging the new government said he should ensure that all campaign promises made to the people does not remain mere talks but move from the realms of promises to reality. Adding the “It must be on record that people have high expectations on the new admnistration and our prayers is that the Seyi Makinde led government is able to fulfil all Promises”.

The gubernatorial candidate maintained that the Makinde’s government on security said “Allowing that the state to slip into the years of wanton Killing, Brigandage, destruction of properties, violence, crimes and criminalities will be the greatest betrayal of trust on the part of the government to the people.”

On workers salary, Laousn charged government of Engineer Seyi Makinde to explore the many untapped avenues to financially re-engineer the state to ensure that Oyo state does not lag behind in the payment of N30,000 minimum wage .

While expressing the readiness of Laosun Campaign Organization to support Seyi Makinde’s government, the Engineer Laosun the support is in the interest of people .” The condition for such support is premise on the Governor’s ability and political will not to lose focus but remain true to improving the lives of people and bringing the desired overall infrastructural and socio- economic development that would restore the state to its enviable pacesetting status”

Laosun who is the founder of Gate of Praise (GOP)Foundation said despite the party’s performance in the last he remains undeterred in impacting the lives of the people through the GOP and Akin and Funke Laosun foundations which major focus is meeting the needs of the less privileged, Providing support to those in need and offering training as a means of economic empowerment for members of the society from time to time.
