It was a day of joy, gratitude, and reflection as the family of Mama Ruth Adeleye gathered at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Sabo Oke, Ilorin, to celebrate the life and legacy of their beloved matriarch, who recently turned 90.

The celebration was filled with heartfelt tributes and a moving eulogy that highlighted Mama Adeleye’s enduring values, resilience, and unwavering dedication to both family and community.
Described as a woman of integrity and strength, Mama Ruth Adeleye was praised for the profound impact she had on the lives of her children and those around her. “She taught us integrity, and the values she instilled have shaped our lives in meaningful ways,” one of her children shared.

The event featured prayers, soul-lifting songs of praise, and a Bible reading from Psalm 124, echoing the family’s gratitude to God for preserving Mama Adeleye’s life over the decades.
The minister in charge, Rev. Dr. Moses Adewole Adeyemo, in his message, said Mama is worthy of celebration for the grace of long life and for how she utilized her years to build lives and serve others.
“Mama’s life is a testament to the fact that life is not about today—no matter what one is going through, there is always a tomorrow,” he said, urging the congregation not to lose hope because of temporary challenges that may seem overwhelming.
In her remarks, Mama expressed deep gratitude to God for His infinite mercies and favour:
