President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Executive Management team of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA) under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
The new chairman of the agency is Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi, a former lawmaker who represented Ogo Oluwa/ Surulere Federal constituency st the 7th, 8th and 9th Assembly.
According to the president Spokesperson, the decision is part of a broader effort to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the river basin authorities in promoting sustainable water resource management and agricultural development.
The restructured team comprises representatives from Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, and Osun states, reflecting a commitment to regional inclusivity.
The new appointments are as follows:
Hon. Odebunmi Olusegun (Oyo) – Chairman
Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru (Osun) – Managing Director
Ayo Oyalowo (Oyo) – Executive Director, Finance
Dokunmu Olufemi Oyekunle (Ogun) – Executive Director, Planning and Design
Suleiman Oris (Lagos) – Executive Director, Agricultural Services
Engr. Julius Oloro (Lagos) – Executive Director, Engineering
The Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority oversees water resource management and agricultural development across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, and Osun states.
The reconstitution is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strengthen the authority’s capacity to execute its mandate effectively.
