In a significant development for Oyo State’s civil service, Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his recent decision to raise the minimum wage for state civil servants to N80,000.

This historic wage increase, higher than the national minimum wage, has sparked widespread approval across the state, positioning Oyo as one of the few states in Nigeria to implement such an elevated pay structure for its workforce.

Bashorun Akinwole popularly known as Wolekanle in a statement emphasized that Governor Makinde’s decision reaffirms his commitment to the welfare of civil servants and, by extension, the people of Oyo State.
