Offa Community, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, will come alive as the 2024 Ijakadi Festival takes place from December 26 to 28, 2024.
Aare (Dr.) Waheed Olagunju, Chairman, Media and Communications Committee, made the announcement. This year’s theme, “Cultural and Creative Sectors: Vehicle for Economic Growth and Development,” emphasizes leveraging culture for economic progress.

December 26:
– Joint denominational prayers (10:00 am) led by Sheikh (Dr.) Muhyideen Salman Hussein and CAN Chairman
– Annual lecture: “Evolution of Our Offa Compound Names” by Dr. Lawal M. Muhammed (Palace)
– Cultural display of Rara sisun and Omosunwo
December 27:
– Traditional Expo (morning)
– Beauty Pageant (evening, Palace)
– Musical Concert (9:00 p.m., ODU Open Ground)
December 28 (Grand Finale):
– Iwode Onilejile Cultural display
– Symbolic wrestling display by Kabiyesi
– Royal Dinner (Kabiyesi’s Palace)
