As 2019 election draw nearer, local government party chairman in All Progressives Congress across the 33 local government in Oyo state have been urged to not to relent in their efforts to ensure victory for the party during the election
Chairman National Assembly Committee on information, National Orientation, Ethics and Value Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi gave this urge in a message sent to the party chairmen at their periodic meeting held at Odebunmi Hall Iresaadu in Suurulere local government area of Oyo state
The Federal lawmaker who was represented at the meeting by his Senior Legislative aide Comrade Femi Akanbi-Oche said the efforts of the party chairmen in coordinating the affairs of the party in their various local governmental cannot be underestimated
” In spite of the challenges in managing political affairs , you demonstrated serious courage with great zeal to move the party from ground zero to a higher pedestal , today APC is a party to beat and i want to implore you to put aside personal interest and continue to work for the party with renews energy and determination to retain power for the party at all levels even beyond 2019.”
” We should all work for the success of All Progressives Congress in 2019 election, let us not relent but in our efforts to maintain the party and put our people in elective positions and appointment on their toes so that they too will ensure total implementation of party manifestos and influence developmental projects for their constituency
The lawmaker representing Ogo Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency at the National Assembly also used the opportunity to reel out his achievements and plans for his constituency in the next few months , adding that he never regret dumping PDP for APC
