PDP Constitutes National Reconciliation Committee to Strengthen Party Unity

In a move to foster unity and cohesion within the party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a National Reconciliation Committee (NRC) following the approval of the National Executive Committee (NEC).

The 25-member committee, chaired by H.E. Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has been tasked with the responsibility of reconciling various interests and tendencies within the party.

The committee comprises seasoned politicians, elder statesmen, and respected party stalwarts, including Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, Alh. Bello Tafidan Gusau, High. Chief Sen. Ben Ndi Obi, CON, Sen. Tunde Ogbeha, and Sen. Shuaibu Isa Lau, among others.

In a press statement released by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Working Committee (NWC) charged all leaders, critical stakeholders, and teeming members of the PDP to remain focused and committed to the vision, principles, and aspirations of the party, in the overall interest of the growth, development, and stability of the PDP and the nation.

The National Reconciliation Committee is expected to be inaugurated on a date to be communicated in due course, as the party seeks to strengthen its internal cohesion and position itself for the upcoming electoral challenges.

This development comes at a critical juncture for the PDP, as the party continues to navigate the political landscape and reaffirm its role as a formidable force in the Nigerian political arena.
