Rotary Club, Ibadan Felele has given total scholarship to four indigent students of Public secondary schools in Ibadan.
The scholarship included all education expenses from JSS1 to SSS3, school uniforms, books, bags, and other school materials.
The Students are Adesina Rokibat and Aroboluwe GodsAbove from St Luke’s Schools One and Two, Kudeti, Ahmed Sodiq from Olubi Memorial Grammar School, Kudeti and Olatunde Ajoke from Yejide Girls Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan.
While speaking at the programme, Charter President, Rotary Club Ibadan Felele, Rotarian Babalola Famade said, the gesture was part of humanitarian services of Rotary Club International.
Rotarian Famade noted that, education as a bedrock of the society, should be made available and affordable for all the children.
He who advised the chosen students to face their studies so as to make them relevant in the society, said the students were painstakingly selected due to their socioeconomic challenges.
Parents and guardians of the lucky Students who could not hide joy, appreciated the Rotary Club Ibadan Felele for restoring hopes to the lives of the children.
The students were given customised school bag, 30 exercise books each and a letter to back up the scholarship.
Present at the occasion were representative of The State Commissioner for Education, President of Rotary Club Oritamefa, his counterpart from Ibadan Jericho Metro, past Presidents, Members of Ibadan Felele and Guests.
