Eminent personalities including traditional rulers and Islamic clerics last week gathered in Erio Ekiti to witness the official commissioning of Dawha centre a multipurpose centre for Islamic activities.
The centre which was the first of its type in the community was donated by the Chief Idris Oladiran .
During the commissioning, Oladiran said the gesture which is dedicated to his late parent is to further encourage learning and teaching of Islamic educations in such a way that the religious will be enhanced and propagated
According to him “This is one of the way through which we can propagate islam in our community and I am confident that the centre will be properly used for the purposes it is meant for
While assuring the Muslim community of his continuous, the Balogun of Erio also pledges not relent in his commitment ensure steady growth and development of the community.
In his brief remarks, the Chief Imam of Erio, Sheik Musa Badmus, describe the gesture as a timely venture which is acceptable to Almighty Allah, “ This is highly commendable coming at a time when the need to teach the young children and adults about islam and the need to further promote it as a religious of peace.
He however pray for the repose of the souls which the centre was dedicated to and increased blessings for the donor and his entire family.
Also the Elerio of Erio Oba Johnson Bamigbade Okiji 111 who led other traditional rulers to the event congratulated muslim community in Erio and urge them to make good use of the centre especially in promoting of peace and harmony.
Special prayers was however offered for Nigeria, Ekiti state and quick economic recovery of the nation
