Akingbayi Ààrẹ Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Chief Victor Mobolaji Adewale was on Saturday honoured  as the Oodua Influential Man Of The Year 2020

The awards was presented to him by Oodua Special Recognition Award (OSRA  2020) as part of 46th years birthday celebration of our royal father, His Imperial Majesty Kabiyesi Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi,the Oonirisa of Ile Ife in Ile Ife,Osun State on the 17th October 2020.

He was honoured alongside with the Governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawale, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige

Akingbayi who is the Coordinator of Oodua Progressive Union in Europe in his speech said ” This is a rare privilege and i am delighted to be honoured  with this award by the  organizers of this event, i am happy because its a a pointer to the fact that our efforts in promoting Yoruba culture and tradition and  assisting the less priviledge both at home and abroad is being notice and appreciated

Akingbayi Victor Mobolaji Adewale who is the founder of VMA Foundation ,a non governmental organization established to assist the less privileges and  the needy said the  Award will spur him to do more in promoting Yoruba culture and tradition as well as making people happy.

He however harps on the need by stakeholders and leaders of Yorubaland not to relent in their efforts in taking Yoruba race to a greater level, ‘Our culture is unique, we must not allow foreign culture to  erode our beautiful and fantastic tradition, let us continue to be proud of yoruba race everywhere we found ourselves”

President Oodua Special recognition awards 2020 who is also the publisher, international events of lifestyle magazine that organized the award, Mr  Gbenga Emmanuel in his speech said  Akinrogun Victor Adewale was  chosen  for the unique award based on his antecedents in the area of humanitarian service in the society, excellence performance, worthy character and philanthropic act.
