The Oyo State Government has been urged to immortalize the immediate past Governor of the State, Sen Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi who died last week Thursday.

The appeal was made by member representing Oriire State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Jacob Abidoye Bamigboye in his condolence message.

Hon Bamigboye said there was no doubt that late Sen Ajimobi was the architect of modern Oyo State hence his name should be immortalized.

According to Hon Bamigboye, though the death of Sen Ajimobi at this period was painful and shocking, his contributions to socio-economic and infrastructural development of Oyo State were monumental.

The Lawmaker particularly urged Governor Seyi Makinde to name any institution or public infrastructure in honor of the immediate past Governor in appreciation of his good governance and legacies.

Hon Bamigboye who stressed that late Governor Ajimobi would be sorely missed by the political class in Nigeria and especially in the fold of the progressives prayed Allah to rest his soul eternally.
