It was another moment of joy when the philanthropist, hotelier, estate manager, football administrator and politician , Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole ,fondly called Wolekanle, disbursed relief packages for the aged.
The relief package which came in the form of cash and semovita was strictly disbursed for the oldies who were fifty (50) years and above to support them at this stormy period.
The distribution which was not based on political affiliation took place at Osupa Baptist Day School premises where three hundred and twenty five (325) aged persons get cash prices while two hundred (200) others got two kilograms (2kg) of semolina each.
in a chat, Hon Akinwale said “We bless God that Oyo State coronavirus cases have not increased of recent and by His grace those affected too will also be healed. The government at all levels are doing their best and very soonest COVID-19 will be a thing of the past”.
” I am still pleading that we obey all the necessary preventive measures as this is the only way we can curb the spread of the deadly disease”.
“I thank God for the grace to give back to our old men and women at this period. There are still many who are yet to benefit from the relief package so far and by God’s grace we will keep doing our best to support them”, Wolekanle posited.
The first phase of the Wolekanle relief package , which was mainly cash, was held last week Tuesday 7th April, 2020 at Osupa Baptist Day School playing ground and DC Primary School,Orita Merin,Ogbomoso.
Another package, which will cater for the youths and aged, to cushion the effect of COVID-19 will be rolled out very soonest.
