YIdia Babalola, A commissioner designate and former Special Adviser to Governor Rauf Aregbesola escape being lynched by angry mob at the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke burial program in Ede today.
Babalola was said to have been asked to leave the premises by the restive mob who are disenchanted with the death of the late senator.
Senator Adeleke who died in the early hours of Sunday, April 23, 2017, at a private hospital in Osogbo buried on Monday at his home in Ede.
An eye witness told our reporter that if not for the timely intervention of Ogun state Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the woman would have been seriously dealt with as the angry mob are already advancing towards her asking her to leave the premises immediately
Senator Amosun was said to have left where he sat and hurriedly move to the scene to prevent further insult and attack on the woman.
It would be recalled that journalists with Nigeria Television Authority were also attacked on Sunday with their camera seized by the angry mob on Sunday when the news of the Late Senator was broken
Some of the angry mob were hurling curses and abusive language on master minders of Adeleke’s death because they were of the opinion that the late politician was poisoned
Amongst dignitaries at the burial were former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt.(Hon) Olubunmi Patricia Ette. Among others
