The Oyo State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC),Mr. John Adewoye,has urged security officers in the country to always take to the rule of engagement while serving their fatherland.
Adewoye stressed that the security agents need to be proactive and focussed in their assignments as the country faces challenges from internal forces.
The NSCDC boss stated this during the passing-out parade of 220 officers who underwent a eight-week intensive training on arms bearing at the State Headquarters Extension at Agodi,Ibadan,Oyo State.
The NSCDC personnel were trained on physical fitness,intelligence gathering,drills and arms bearing.
Adewoye who lauded the level of discipline exhibited by the officers during the training enjoined them to be committed to the protection of lives and property while encouraging them to be good ambassadors of the agency.
Commandant Adewoye appreciate the state government and the National Commandant of NSCDC,Mohammed Gana for their supports.
The security boss later enjoined the public to always support NSCDC and other security agencies by giving prompt information that would save lives and property.
In a goodwill message,the representative of the Director of State Security Service,Deputy Director Foluso Oye commended the trained NSCDC officers for expertise displayed during the parade,striping and assembling display.
